ERBIL — The first French Consul in Kurdistan Region, Frederic Tissot, will be signing his book in Erbil on Thursday.
The book is the story of a guy born in Algeria in 1951, returned to France in 1962, graduated in medicine in 1980, became French doctor in Afghanistan, Kurdistan, Morocco, and then advise ministers, who later becomes the Consul General of France in Kurdistan, the first in history.
Dr. Frederic Tissot, general practitioner, public health specialist, was the first Consul General of France in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan (2007-2012). He is currently a lecturer at the Paris School of International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
His book is now available in Kurdish language, translated by Dr. Muhsen Ahmed. During an event scheduled for 11:00 am, November 3rd in the French Institute in Erbil, Tissot will be discussing the story brought to words in his book.
